ARTIST INSIGHT: This artwork was inspired by my travels to the Alhambra palace in Granada, Spain. The exquisite patterns and abstract ornamentation seen in the architecture became a significant influence in my designs. This sculpture is based on the geometric, rosette patterns studied at the Alhambra. My goal with this hanging wall sculpture was to create a sense of texture and intricacy through unexpected material.
