Talley Fisher's Flight over the Susquehanna, brings nature into the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center..
Triangular elements suspended from the ceiling work to bring nature indoors.

Inspired by nature and the wonder of the Susquehanna River, hundreds of metallic elements come together to form a dazzling array.

ARTIST’S INSIGHT: I often use nature as a source of inspiration for my sculptures including memories of childhood summers by the Susquehanna. For this piece, I focused on the glimmering light of the sun on the water, leaves cascading from the trees, and birds dancing overhead. It is a companion piece to Susquehanna Reverie, which was installed in 2012 on the UPMC Williamsport Campus on the other side of town. The two sculptures bear similar composition, unifying the campuses and elevating the experience of the patient.
